As I was retouching some recent spring beach portraits today, I have been thinking about how much I love the beach landscape in any season. Spring and Fall are great times to capitalize on the quiet beach time here, and its also fun for me to be able to photograph at some favorite spots that tend to be too busy during the summer months.
I wanted to share some of my favorites from a beautiful beach session from last fall. This gorgeous family braved some pretty chilly weather to meet me in Chatham for their family photos. It was the kind of day that you really needed to be in the sun for the little bit of warmth it offered, but they stuck it out nonetheless and it was worth it.
Seriously, how adorable are these sisters ?! Mom and Dad wanted their portraits to have mostly a lifestyle feel, capturing their family and the girls as they are and some playful moments of them together. Well this wasn’t hard at all, they were ready for anything with a great sense of humor and a happy loving energy. I thought that Mom did a fabulous job with their outfits, i love these colors and how she incorporated just the perfect amount of pattern to liven things up. And those little brown boots…..so precious!
